This cd is a collection of just some of the bands that make up what I call ‘The Third Wave' of Norwegian Black Metal. Some of the other acts who do not appear are, Sykdom, In Lingua Mortua, Helvetespine, Endezzma, Slavia, Kaosritual, Min Kniv, Skuggehiem, Stillhet, Mare, Nettlecarrier, Arv, Gjenferdsel, Drephjard, Nidingr, to name a few. These relatively underground acts join the big guns [Gorgoroth, Mayhem, Darkthrone] who have kept the scene afloat in recent years, These make up a very exciting new scene in Norway that makes 2007-08 the most productive years of Norwegian Black Metal activity since the mid nineties.
