style: black metal
„Spirits Rising“ is the opening song for this black metal styled release. With some melancholy riffs it grows to really a bit depressive kind of song influenced with some good old guitar solos that reminds you that without them songs would mostly be boring. „Silence“ has a bit bad sound but regardless it's another great opus of this newly formed band with two musicians. Riffs shows a lot of different variants of how they can be played, but drums could be a bit faster at the time. Concerning the fact that this is just the first release(besides the demo that is the same as full length just that full length has two more songs on it), I'm pretty sure we can expect even better music in the future. „End Of All“ is instrumental song. It is a bit similar to few other instrumental songs of few other bands but it's still good in general. Must also mention that M.Tingle has quite strange vocals on a good way of course. It's like whispering and painful screaming at the same time. Can't help it but to honour „Shadow Of Winter“ and give it a title of the best song of this release. Keyboards that makes everything even harder to listen cause of the heavy atmosphere are fitting perfectly into the song. Skies Veiled In Black is made of some easy riffs but that's what makes this whole release really special. Nothing about it is complicated. Everything is kept simple yet beautiful, slow yet the time listening to this passes by so fast. Easy riffs that creates heavy atmosphere drenched with sadness. This is going to be a great name on the scene. As far as it goes for this release... for me personally they already are a big name and wish to hear more of their material in the future. 74/100
